My Name Is (Short Story)
Preface: One night right before the end of 2021, I heard my friend Bhupinder give a talk on the Wisdom App and I joined him. I asked a question about shedding the ego. His answer was more of a question for me to reflect on.
I spent the rest of the evening in that reflection and much of the following morning. In the afternoon the next day, I had an interesting idea that followed me all day long. I eventually felt led to write the idea out and this story came through.
The message is fairly clear and also challenging to all of us. One important thing to note is that there are ultimately four characters in this story and each one of them represents a part of our personality. We don’t just have one personality but several operating within us at the same time. Sometimes there’s harmony in this dynamic and sometimes not.

Here’s The Story
Steve and Jeff walked across the mezzanine. It was a cool afternoon in October. The fall had come quickly, turning the leaves orange and yellow. Many had blown off the oak and cedar trees, providing a colorful foliage covering to the grass and sidewalks around them.
