What Batman v Superman Missed: A Villain Without Vision
Why Lex Luthor Is Real (& So Is The Need For Vision Part 3)
From the series: Lex Luthor Is Real (and So Is the Need for Vision; read part 2 here)
Let me start with something most people won’t say out loud in marketing, branding, or storytelling circles: I liked Batman v Superman.
Actually… I think it’s brilliant.
But it took me four viewings to realize that.
Not because the story lacked power. Not because the visuals didn’t work. Not because the acting fell short.
But because this movie wasn’t made for quick consumption.
It was made with layers.
Symbolism. Subtext. Real internal stakes.
And that’s something most mainstream moviegoers — and sadly, many businesses — just aren’t trained to sit with.
What Snyder Tried to Do (That the Studio Didn’t Understand)
Zack Snyder wasn’t trying to give us popcorn. He was giving us myth.
The kind of story that sits under your skin for days.
The kind that requires reflection, patience, and emotional intelligence.
